now i know

now i know in what conditions our sponsored child lives

a letter from her director at Compassion

painted a picture I wasn't prepared for

I didn't realize that her circumstances were like "those" children

each letter ive received sounded so positive and grounded

the living conditions in her community are Desperate!

she needs much grace...

Lord Jesus,

please remember Caterine today.

i know that you are always watching and involved in her life.

Lord, help her! protect her!

please provide her with the security of knowing she is loved by You.

I ask that you meet all of her needs,

physically, mentally, spiritually, 

emotionally.

remind me to pray and show me how.

please anoint me to write

to remember to write.

I want to be a source of encouragement to her

please, Holy Spirit, give her hope today

protect her and her family.

remember her daddy, protect him please Lord.

I ask that your will be done in her family

and in her life.

In the Precious Name of Jesus,

I pray.

this morning is kinda grey, cool, damp and overcast

its already a bit of a blurr of mundane activity

i am thankful, though, as i think of the 

time spent with family yesterday afternoon

enjoying the company and conversation

of a younger generation, not much older than my son.

god has provided family for me through my husband

im so thankful

this morning a quote resonates with me,

something along the lines of,

"most conversation is just a monologue in the presence of witnesses".

I don't want to be a monologue!

Lord, please, Please!, help me to Listen.

remind me, I pray,

in Jesus' Name.

This morning we awoke to beautiful summer rain.

As I was sitting in my favourite black chair, 

Cup of tea in hand,

I noticed the reflection of the window

In the glass table top...

The rain was "falling" up!

It looked like a sprinkler, running the length

Of the eaves trough.

Beautiful!

What a pleasant surprise.

Serendipity.

quiet summer rain this morning

still, the june bugs sang

and a cardinal singing in a tree.

Leaning heavily in His arms today.

So many questions about the future.

needing direction

praying Your will be done, Lord.

the sun rose pink

its warm enough to sit outside in your pajamas while you wake up

the air is moist but not heavy

and I've remembered He has all things in His hand

He's holding everything together

Just peeled youngest off the bottom of my chair, set the timer and now. I. am. going.to.write.

3.two dogs sitting with me

4.the colour of puppies fur in the sunshine

5. youngest setting up for a tea party

6. husband putting the garbage out

7. no reason to rush

8.that I don't have to figure it all out

10. two uninterrupted cups of tea

11. a warm shower waiting for me

12. the opportunity to be home again today
